Top end of painting represents the landing of the British tall ships foot prints show them stepping into aboriginal country which begun the spreading of sickness among our peoples, this sickness was through time to spread throughout the nation, leaving its wake much sadness (red footprints, yellow and orange circles are death after sickness) (the red here represents the blood which was spilt by our peoples due to the brutality of the invading British Imperalist). Our enforced alienation from our spiritual core has begun where there were four healthy people now there are only two, the fire is getting smaller we are losing our connection and belonging and losing sight of our dreaming. To the bottom of painting, we have a traditional elder trying to hold the sickness from affecting our peoples. Some sickness has broken through onto our lands and mountains putting us into darkness, starting to cover the sun (which represents spiritual growth and healing.) When looking closely at the outer linings there is the face representing the creator of all things. (the blue circles are the eyes and the watering holes) with the invasion of aboriginal country the people brought their sickness they also brought wrong thinking into our higher consciousness.
